Action Gymnasts Earn Snow Globes at COTC | December 11-13, 2009
Action Gymnasts traveled to Baltimore , MD to compete in the 20th Annual Christmas on the Chesapeake Invitational. As top 3 All Around gymnasts in their sessions, Triniti Barron, Allie Cucich, Melissa Astarita, Tara Zeni, Monica Servidio and Alana Morgan each earned a Snow Globe as their All Around trophy.
Level 7 gymnasts Ally Cucich, Melissa Astarita, Tara Zeni, Ava Caruso and Samantha Morrison competed in the 10 year old age group. Ally earned 2nd place on beam (9.45) and 1st place All Around (36.525). Melissa earned 1st place on bars (9.2) and 2nd place All Around (36.45). Tara earned 1st on both beam (9.475) and floor (9.275) for a 3rd place All Around finish (36.05). Ava earned 1st on vault (9.55), 3rd on bars (8.4) and 5th place All Around (35.375). Samantha tied for 1st on beam in her session (8.7).
Triniti Barron, Selene Tiko and Brianne Dombrowski competed in 11 year old sessions. Triniti placed 2nd on floor (9.05) and 3rd All Around (34.775) in her session. Selene placed 2nd on vault (9.125) and 5th All Around. Brianne placed 1st on floor (9.0) and tied for 6th All Around.
Action's Level 7's won the 2nd place team trophy.
Level 8 gymnasts Meghan Hughes and Monica Servidio competed in the 11 and under age group. Meghan placed 3rd on beam (8.95) and 4th on bars. Monica tied for 1st on vault (9.2) and placed 2nd All Around (35.125).
In the 14 years and up group, Holly Gaither and Allie Lokerson placed 5th and 8th respectively in the All Around. Allie also placed 3rd on floor (8.8) while Holly placed 2nd on bars.
Level 9 gymnast Roxanne Redwood made her Level 9 debut in the 13-14 yr group with 8.25's on both vault and floor. Amy Vicidomini and Alana Morgan competed in the 15 to 16 year old age group. Amy placed 3rd on floor (9.0) and 8th on bars. Alana placed 2nd on vault (9.275), 1st on beam (8.85), 2nd on floor (9.05) and 2nd All Around (35.275).
