Action Captures Championship Titles at NJ State Meet | May 17, 2009

Action's Level 5 team competed in their state meet this past weekend in Sewell, NJ. Our phenomenal seven-gymnast team brought home the fourth place team trophy, an All Around championship title and four first place event championship titles!

Melissa Astarita earned the first place All Around medal (37.95) in the 9 JR age division, as well as first place on bars (9.675) and second on vault (9.775).

Ally Cucich earned second place medals on vault (9.625), bars (9.65), beam (9.475) and All Around. She also earned the sixth place medal on floor (9.35) in the 7-8 SR division.

Ava Caruso also competing in the 7-8 SR division earning the first place medal on bars (9.775), seventh place on vault (9.5), ninth on beam (9.275) and sixth place All Around (37.6).

Andrea Fortanet rounded out the three Action team members for the 7-8 SR age division. She earned fifth place on beam (9.45) and seventeenth in the All Around.

Tara Zeni brought home the first place medal on bars (9.6), third place on vault (9.55), fifth place on beam (9.25), fourth place on floor (9.2) and second place in the All Around (37.6) in the 7-8 JR age division.

Haley Hawthorne also competed in the 7-8 JR age division and earned the first place medal on vault (9.625) en route to her sixteenth place All Around finish (34.9).

Jessica Nussbaum earned the third place All Around medal (37.05) in the 11+ SR age division. She also brought home the fourth place medal on vault (9.675) and the second place medal on beam (9.35).
